Guess what? Today is Canadian Thanksgiving... I bet you didn't know that! =) So, I'm kind of missing being at home this weekend and since I've already blogged about things I'm grateful I'll blog about why I love Canada and everything great about that country....
One - My favourite band, Hedley, is from Canada! You've probably never heard of them but you seriously should check them out! Best. Music. Ever. I could listen to them 24/7, oh wait... I do. And their new CD comes out on November 8th! #countingdowntheseconds.
Two - Canadian food! Poutine, perogies, all-dressed chips, brown sugar mini wheats, dill pickle chips, crunchies, vanilla rice crispies, gelotis, timbits, smarties, fuzzy peaches. Oh the list can go on forever, I love them all!
Three - My funny words... Garborator (Garbage disposal), Toque (Beanie), Parkade (Parking garage), Eh (Right), Flag/bag/tag/etc... (Pronounced fleg/beg/teg/etc...), Cream (Lotion), etc.... There's soooo many. My friends make fun of me 24/7, but I kinda love it.
Four - Crazy weather... Always a surprise. You can be playing outside making a snowman in the morning and then jumping on your trampoline in the sun in the afternoon. So fun!
Well.. there's a little Canadian culture for you. Just thought I'd share it with you as I'm thinking about home today and thankful for all the blessings I have back at home.
